Hello everyone!

Just a brief reminder that our 2013 Brown Bag Retreats went on sale yesterday. Dawn, Paula and I were fielding phone calls, faxes and in-person registrations bright and early at 8 a.m.
There are still seats available in all of our retreats so now is the best time for you to choose a date that works for your shedule.
There are a record number of 12 retreats offered this year, including one that is FIVE days long.

The link will provide you with a document download that explains everything you need to know if you want to purchase a seat for our 2013 retreats. This weekend May 5 & 6, at the Ventura County Fairgrounds in Anacapa Hall, the Camarillo Quilters will hold their quilt show entitled "Quilting by the Sea."

If you visit our booth, you'll see a fresh face at the show because I'm staying back at the shop to help Dawn with things on the homefront. Later this month we'll be attending Spring Quilt Market and I need to help Dawn prepare materials for this upcoming trip.

The "fresh face" is Paula Gago, someone you may have already met at the shop, she's worked for us for more than a year now and knows many of you by name. So if you're going to the show, be sure to stop by our booth and say "hello" to Paula and Joe.

This is always a very nice show and we look forward to attending as vendors. Their challenge for their guild members this year was "Pick a Letter, any Letter." With a challenge like that you can go anywhere, so there should be many beautiful quilts on display that you won't want to miss!

This show will be held May 5 & 6, at the Ventura County Fairgrounds in Anacapa Hall.
Show hours are Saturday, May 5 - 10 to 5 pm
Sunday, May 6 - 10 to 3

There is still seats available for our VERY SPECIAL, first - ever, Embellishment Retreat, featuring instruction by Jane Connor. This special weekend event is scheduled for May 4 - 6. 

During this special weekend, instruction will focus on embellishing your projects with decorative stitches and beadwork;
learning all about embellishment and (of course) grazing on yummy snacks and food in between all the classwork! The class project is EMBELLISHED MONOGRAMS. For the hours outside of class instruction, you may work
on your own embellishment project or continue working on your monogram.

If you would like to secure your space at the EMBELLISHMENT REATREAT, just download and complete our registration form. Once complete, fax it to our shop with payment information included OR mail it with your check OR come into the shop to register.

Cost for this special weekend is $150 per person -- lodging is NOT included.
