Email Lists

Can I rent or buy an email list to use in my Email Contact account?

No. Your Email Contact account can only be used with email lists for which you have permission to communicate with. For more information, refer to our Anti-spam policy.

What happens to my list after I upload it to my Email Contact account?

Your list is safe. It will reside in your Email Contact account until you remove it. Email Contact will never rent, share, or sell your email list. For more details, read our Privacy Policy.

How do I import a subscriber list in to my Email Contact account?

Email Contact accepts email addresses in a .txt (text delimated) file format (i.e. filename.txt) or a .csv file format (i.e. filename.csv). Simply browse to where the file is on your computer and import the list in to your account. You can also copy/paste your list of email subscribers into a text field online and then import the list into your Email Contact account.

How do I import email addresses from my Outlook Address book in to my Email Contact account?

To import an email address file from Microsoft Outlook, you must export your Outlook Contact folder to a text (i.e., contacts.txt) file. Detailed Instructions.

How many subscriber lists can I have in my account?

Each account can have an unlimited number of subscriber lists. Each time you create an email, you can select the list(s) you want your email to be sent to.

What if I don't have an email list?

No problem. It's time to get started! There are several ways you can collect email addresses. Email Contact provides a link to be put on your website. Website visitors can sign up for your email list and their addresses are automatically imported in to your Email Contact account.

Other ideas for collecting email addresses include setting up a guest register and having customers provide you with their email addresses. You can also invite subscribers to join at trade shows, conferences, or when they make a purchase.
